Office & Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)
Up to £14.50 per hour | 9:00am – 4:00pm | 3 Days per Week
We’re looking for an Office & Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a varied part-time role within an established group of engineering businesses, where you’ll provide day-to-day office support while assisting with general accounts administration.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of administration, customer service and accounts duties in a busy but supportive office environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing purchase invoices.
- Raising sales invoices and credit notes.
- Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations.
- Supporting credit control by following up outstanding customer payments.
- Providing general accounts administration.
- Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries.
- Welcoming visitors and providing reception cover.
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
- Ordering office supplies and helping with the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
- Providing administrative support to colleagues across the business.
- Undertaking a variety of general office duties as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous office administration and/or accounts experience.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
- Experience using Sage 50 Accounts.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Hours
- Three days per week.
- 9:00am – 4:00pm.
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Working days to be agreed.
